July was all about show season! I spent the month traveling to the Atlanta and Las Vegas Gift Markets. While most of our grocery buyers don’t attend these shows, they’re still an essential part of our rhythm—and here’s why:

These shows give us valuable face time with suppliers, a chance to spot new trends, and the opportunity to discover emerging brands that might be a fit for our accounts. Whether it’s an unexpected conversation with a retailer or a scheduled supplier catch-up, there’s always a spark of possibility. And sometimes, it’s those chance encounters that lead to our next big win. I am always excited when that happens! 

More than anything, these shows are a creative recharge. They remind us to keep asking: How else can we bring value to our retailers and suppliers? Which new products—or fresh storytelling—can reignite their interest?

We’re always looking for innovative ways to connect with our customers, and the inspiration we gather at market helps fuel our strategy year-round.

Yes, I’m exhausted (show season has a way of doing that!)—but it’s the good kind of tired that comes from being fully immersed in the work we love.

Onward to fall planning and a strong finish to the year!
